MuseWeb’s new app, Be Here Stories, is a story collection and location-aware playback tool used in the Be Here community-based storytelling projects produced by the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program and the Peale Center’s Be Here: Baltimore program. Built on the opensource Roundware platform created by artist Halsey Burgund, it has been the basis of numerous apps developed for the Smithsonian Institution, MuseWeb Foundation and Conferences, and arts and culture organizations across the U.S. as well as Burgund’s own sound installations.
